The Origin of Lin San Temple
Lin shan Temple, located at 27 Lorong 12, Geylang, was built by the Hakka Shifu Ruixiang from Guangdong. In the 1960s, Shifu Ruixiang passed away and was taken over by Venerable Seang Heng (常恒) and Mingzhen Shifu to take charge of temple affairs. In the early 1970s, Venerable Seang Heng (常恒) rebuilt the temple and held the "Lin Shan Temple Reconstruction Ceremony" in 1973. Under the leadership of Venerable Seang Heng (常恒), Lin Shan Temple became popular, and many believers visited the temple to worship Buddha together. In addition, the monastery often invited other monks to conduct the Buddhis lessons, also Venerable Seang Heng (常恒) was always invited to participate almost all the prayer ceremonies in Kong Meng San throughout the year.
